Momodora II is the second game in the Momodora series.
The Game takes place a few months after the First Momodora game. It stars a new protagonist to the series, Momo Reinol, a shrine maiden who has been tasked with destroying the Demon Queen, who has resurfaced and is terrorizing the land.
The game is the first in the series to introduce a map system, (which also appears in Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight) and it is the first 'Metroidvania' game in the series. Momodora II features nonlinear gameplay with branching paths and multiple endings.
Plot[]
The game doesn't have a remarkably complex plot. In short, the story is about 'Momo', the protagonist, who travels to a dungeon near her town to challenge an evil queen named 'Isadora'. On her way there she comes across many other (female) characters who share her goal of defeating this queen. Some of those girls end up challenging Momo, and act as boss battles.

The game was developed by Guilherme 'rdein' Martins using Game Maker Studio 7. it was exlusively released for Windows and, like the first instalment, is available on Itch.io free of charge. It is highly inspired by other games, mainly, the game, Cave Story and it includes music composed by videogame music composer, Elektrobear. The game was released in 2011, one year after Momodora I
